“The best fashion show is definitely on the street. Always has been, and always will be.” ~ Bill Cunningham
Honestly, I am not a fashion person. I do not follow all what’s trending in this season. I am not an expert in famous prints and who introduced them. As well I have no clue when main runaways take place. What I know for sure is that I can’t stop looking at Fashion Illustrations. I just can’t stop…
Of course, each of us has its own perception of what is beautiful and attractive. Therefore, I would like to share 5 Fashion Illustrators who, on my opinion, are simply THE BEST!
“If you look back in history of the women who are most memorable and most stylish, they were never the followers of fashion. They were the ones who were unique in their style, breakers of the rules. Were authentic, genuine, original. They were not following the trends.” ~ Nina Garcia
Berlin-based illustrator Sabine Pieper was born in Germany in 1980. Starting her career as a photographer she always kept her interest for drawing and fine arts. After her first daughter was born and after almost ten years of work experience she followed her passion and set her focus on illustration from 2010 on. As her work remained influenced by photographic technics a soft, almost unnoticeable use of mixing media became her signature.
Kelly Smith is an Australian Illustrator, working predominantly in fashion and beauty. Her images are intricate, finely detailed pencil illustrations.
“In a splendor of style, elegance, and surreal botanical wonder, sinuous graphite lines and contrasting pops of color awaken a feminine beauty unlike any other. In this alluring paper space a pencil is more than lead and wood. It is the captive instrument of the creator, shaping the story of each delicate subject peering out from the page.
This is the work of Kelly Smith.” ~ Beautiful.Bizarre magazine
Fashion illustration world of Rongrong DeVoe
“I am originally from Qingdao, China. I worked as a concept artist in Shanghai until 2009 when I decided to move to NYC to pursue my Masters in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. My time in the sleepless fashion capital of the world further convinced me to chase the dream I have been pursuing since I was a small town girl in China. After graduation I worked as a fashion designer for three years at major fashion companies in Manhattan. I am currently pursuing my illustrator dream in Houston, TX.
I love to express myself through my art … there is nothing like creating something new in my mind and seeing it come alive on my sketchbook!”
“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” ~ Coco Chanel
