My morning started with Elizabeth’s request to make a Play-Dough from scratch. Meaning, that I had to start searching for a great and easy recipe ASAP. I reviewed few options and discovered that Hair Conditioner may be used to make a stretchy Play-Dough. Elizabeth is 4.5 years old, so there is no need of only edible ingredients to be used, as she already perfectly understands what can and what can’t be eaten.
As a result, my decision was to use a Hair Conditioner ingredient idea for sure. First of all it should add a nice smell to our future Play-Dough.
Among all recipes available online I am more attracted by the ones containing starch as it gives a nice smooth texture to the final result. As well I reviewed my “home stock” and created my own Play-Dough Recipe. And we absolutely loved to play with it! Honestly, this is a best Play-Dough we ever sculpted with!
Let me share 3 INGREDIENTS and easy MIXING DIRECTIONS.
2 1/2 cups of Tapioca Flour
1 cup Hair Conditioner
Gel Food Coloring
That’s all you need!!!
MIXING DIRECTIONS are same easy as ingredients list:
Add gel food coloring into hair conditioner first for easy color incorporating. After, combine tapioca flower with hair conditioner. It is not sticky at all, easy to play with, stretchy and so soft. Oh yes, it smells so good.We were picking hair conditioner with Elizabeth together to make sure she likes how it smells.
You may add glitter if you wish as well. We did and it became even more girly. We were adding it at the end.
Enjoy your creative family time fun time with kids. And this play-dough is definitely a fun!
